Printing Specifications

Inner Margin: .125"
To prevent important text or photo elements from getting cut off, we require keeping these design elements inside the inner margin.

Outer Bleed: .125"
To prevent unwanted white edges from appearing around your design, we require extending background colors and photos to the full bleed size.

Use CMYK colors (no spot colors)
Send all fonts or convert text to outlines
Package and zip your file before upload

CS6, CS7, Creative Cloud
Include bleed
Outline fonts
Save art as an eps or high-res pdf

Photoshop (.psd)

CS5
Use CMYK colors for all text (no spot colors)
Refrain from creating line art inside Photoshop
Send all fonts or flatten type layers
Save final print size at a minimum of 300 dpi

CS6, CS7, Creative Cloud
Save art as a pdf, tiff, or jpg

Illustrator (.ai)

CS5
Use CMYK colors (no spot colors)
Include bleed (.125") in the artboard dimensions
Send all fonts or convert text to outlines
Send all imported files (including photos)

CS6, CS7, Creative Cloud
Save as a CS5 version

PDF (.pdf)

Convert all text to outlines
(embedding fonts does not guarantee correct printing due to the rip process)
Do not downsample or compress resolution
Include bleed in export settings
Export in CMYK color mode (no spot colors)
Please note:
MagnetStreet cannot accept files exported from Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, PowerPoint).
MagnetStreet cannot take responsibility for low-quality images used within the PDF file.

How to Zip (Compress) Your Files

PC
Right-click on the files and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zip folder (.zip) will be created that you can rename and upload.

Mac
Right-click on the files and select Archive. A new zip folder (.zip) will be created that you can rename and upload.
