There are three levels of customization available to you. The first and simplest level is to choose a design we've created, and insert your photo, contact information, and/or text. The second level would still utilize a design we've created, but with slight changes in that design, such as background color or image, and font size. The third level of customization uses a design that you've created according to our graphics standards. Here are simple explanations for each of these methods of customizing your magnets:

Customizing your magnet with your college/university info and images is simple. When placing your order on the website, the step-by-step process will walk you through what is needed and provide you with the details. See the Graphic Standards section for information on file type, size and other considerations for customization.

change one of our designs

If you see a design you like but want to change it slightly, we can accommodate your request most of the time. Call (800) 788-8633 to make sure the design you've chosen can be changed. When placing your order online, use the Comments section to indicate your changes.

Background - You can view the background options under the Browse Artwork tab. Or, if you see a background on another product that you like, simply refer to that product's style code.
Size - Many designs have corresponding designs in other sizes. The information that you can include may vary. For more details, call (800) 788-8633.
Color - Changing the background or font color is possible. View our color chart for options.
Clipart - We keep collections of thousands of clip art files for you to use on your products. Check them out in the Browse Artwork section.
Language - For languages using the Roman alphabet, i.e. French, Spanish, upload a text file with the exact text and spelling. For languages such as Chinese, Korean, etc. send a high quality printed version that we can scan. Please note that you will need to carefully check your proof for accuracy when substituting another language.

When creating your own design, you have two options. Either submit a simple sketch along with digital files and/or hard copy photos, or upload a print-ready file.
Custom Design for You - Submit a sketch and individual files or photos ($25 fee applies)
You send us the individual pieces and our designers put it together for you in accordance with our graphic standards and templated sizes. When sending your photo and/or text, check our graphic standards for acceptable formats. Please note that even though our printing technology is advanced and we're able to provide you with near color matches (when you submit the CMYK color values), exact matches are not guaranteed.
Submit Print-ready Artwork - You send us print-ready digital files following our graphic standards. There is no additional fee for this type of customization unless our designers need to adjust or change your file. In that case, a $25 fee may apply.
