Everybody is a little bit Irish on March 17th {wink, wink} but what about the Scottish and Welsh in you that wants to share your heritage with your guests on your big day? Rich in beautiful music, storytelling, color and symbols, infuse a little or a lot of Celtic influence into your wedding. Your guests will love to know about your heritage and those special aspects that are important to you.
Give guests a taste of the highlands~ Opt for the kilt. Charm them with emotion-stirring bagpipers. Explain any traditional customs you’re participating in and/or include a proverb in the program.

Another way to celebrate and carry a Celtic theme is through a variation of the beautiful Celtic Knot, which symbolizes love, life and commitment. You can easily carry this time-honored symbol throughout your wedding. Some ideas…
your wedding stationery…

as embellishment around your wedding cake…

all throughout your decorations
… including the guest book… and of course your wedding rings!
Doesn’t a Celtic-inspired wedding sound romantic and fun? What do you think? Any having one?

Pretty as a picture! Especially striking… the cobalt blue bottle {Yowsa!}. If you love an eclectic look and crave a variety of elements… here’s an idea for creating beautiful budget-friendly vases. Use 3-4 colored glass bottles at each reception table as a centerpiece.
First, shop thrift stores and flea markets to find perfume bottles, canning jars, etc. Think of these pretty bottles as a visual experience for your guests… delightfully adding color and drama to each table.

Give each table depth… through smaller to larger flower arrangements in varying heights of colored bottles. Think of the conversations you’ll evoke as each bottle catches and filters the light!
Love these!

Carry the theme… place sweet little colored bud vases like these in the bathrooms… at the bar… at the dessert table…

Here’s a discussion I found on Wedding Bee that includes additional ideas and links for cobalt blue vases.
Let me know what you think and Happy Earth Day!

I’m excited to be a part of BrideTide first annual Wedding Pledge! A Pledge of commitment to write about someone in the wedding industry that I admire~ someone who goes above and beyond to make our world a better place.
I’ve been following Jacksonville, FL photographer~Corinna Hoffman for quite some time now {Corinna Hoffman Photography}. Corinna is a spunky, adventurous, full of faith and playful photographer who clearly does a whole bunch more than simply take photographs! Her joyfulness and instinct for capturing emotion during one of the most precious and sweetest times in a couple’s life is so crystal clear! Her photos exude joy and her passion for her profession and honoring the couple is evident. Her sweetness and graciousness as a photographer, blogger, twitterer does not go unnoticed! Full of life, fun and flair~ Corinna rocks!
Here’s a taste… enjoy the photos from this clearly fun wedding… Ruby and Mike were married at the Jacksonville Zoo and also happen to be BIG BIG NFL Jaguar fans… {see if anything gives that away}.
P.s. Did I mention that Corinna’s smile is one the biggest and brightest that you’ll ever see and she was voted Best Photographer in Jacksonville…? Take a break and check out Corinna’s work here! {Plus, she’s got great music in her playlist when you visit the blog!}
Thanks Corinna!
