Love a classic silhouette? How about bopping back to a simpler time, let’s say the 50′s… where the dresses are uberly flattering, feminine and FUN!
Often accessorized with closed shoes, a flower or feather fascinator, bird cage veil and short gloves, these A-line dresses are in my opinion, the epitome of femininity!
Tea-lengths have traditionally been considered a less formal style dress and often worn for destination, courthouse, garden… weddings. But should they be so pigeon-holed? Hmmm. Let’s check out a few designs…

Just loving these next few timeless, impeccable lovelies from vintage-inspired designer
Stephanie James Couture!

Aha! Just the answer to a having your dress and wearing it too…
a full 3 layer skirt that shortens to something quite sassy for later on!

A petticoat in your favorite color doesn’t just talk… it screams your personality!

What do you think?
Are tea-lengths only for destination and informal weddings? Could you see yourself wearing one?
If so, how would you make it more formal?

CONGRATULATIONS to all my newly-engaged readers!
You have my sympathy!
No NO… not because you’re engaged but because of all the decisions you have to make so quickly out of the engagement gate. I was once again reminded of this as I sat listening to the plans of my newly-engaged friend~ Nalie.
because ASAP after sharing the joyous news there’s…
setting the date! Picking the best date can be a complete feat in itself! Many couples have close family and friends that will need to make travel arrangements or plan around vacations, school schedules or other activities…
find ceremony and reception sites based on your chosen date! And, you need a close estimate on your guest count so your venue can accommodate the number.
Not to mention… choosing formality, style and colors and setting that budget!!
Tell me
1. Where are you in wedding planning?
2. What was or has been the most challenging aspect to the initial stage of your wedding planning?

is simply enchanting… embracing a formal elegance that is dramatic and timeless.
While glass slippers are optional, think ballgowns and sweetheart necklines, cathedral veils, elbow length gloves, tiaras, tuxedos and matching bridesmaid dresses.
Think roses, crystals, a beautiful ballroom and flowing champagne.
Choose formal Invitations like the Pocket-style Victorian Menagerie considering elegant Script fonts such as: BICK, CORO, DISK, MEDC, NUPT AND ZAPF. Pair these Script fonts with such Serif fonts as: CAVE and GOUD.
exquisite… timeless… elegant
is this your style?

happy Friday!

This incredibly cool California wedding was shot by NYC-based wedding photographer and media artist Robert Sukrachan. The simple elegance of this celebration leaves me with a craving to head west. And her bouquet of succulents… amazing! The photos were taken at an old “western” movie set and the reception… at a local “honky tonk” Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing Robert!
