Behind the Design: Floral Watercolor for Summer

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Looking for summer or floral wedding inspiration? Today’s “Behind the Design” has both! Bursting with vibrant color and whimsical flowers, this garden wedding is a thing of beauty and full of inspiring details. Here’s Rachel to share the inspiration for her new Design Suite, Floral Watercolor.

“I imagined an elegant summer garden wedding as I was creating this design. Floral patterns have become quite a popular trend and using that with watercolor brush strokes sets quite the elegant tone for a summer wedding. How fun is that oversized flower?! Imagine how you could incorporate florals into your day in new and exciting ways! To really bring this watercolor design to life, try this design out on the pressed texture paper.”

Custom Color Palette:  Purple |  Pink |  Green |  Blue | White

We are culminating our love affair with purple and other vibrant colors with “Behind the Design” of Geometric Spark–a modern Wedding Invitation with bold and geometric patterning carried across the suite. Here’s curator Megan–to tell us about this super fun board and the inspiration behind this popular design.

“I had a fun, playful and modern wedding in mind when I designed the Geometric Spark suite. My goal was to create something that really allowed couples to share their personality with their guests. So, intermingling bold colors, graphic patterns and lively wording–all designed at an angle–really helped to give this suite a fun and modern look. And, this design lends itself to so many great color combinations–ready for any wedding style.”

Behind the Design: Nautical-Inspired Beach Wedding

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

It’s smooth sailing for today’s “Behind the Design” and beach wedding inspiration. This seafaring board features a classic navy and white color scheme as well a Wedding Program with an anchor motif. Get your beach wedding ideas on with this salt of the earth look and nautical theme. Here’s graphic designer, Rachel, to tell us about Love’s Anchor, her new modern Design Suite.

“This design suite was inspired by a nautical summer wedding, so an anchor was a must! Maybe set on a beach, by the water or even inside an upscale club: a modern design for a modern couple. Bold stripes complement the simple anchor artwork and together make quite a statement. And, if you wanted to change up the palette, this design works really well with most colors. Go with a muted color and the entire look and feel will change completely!”

For today’s “Behind the Design” we’re breaking down She Said Yes, a unique photo Save the Date design that focus on a clever use of typography in tandem with a bold, graphic backside. And for those looking for blue wedding ideas, be inspired, there’s a lot of that in this mood board, too! Here’s graphic designer, Rachel to tell us a little about the inspiration behind her design.

“Bold patterns and bright colors. I had a fun and playful summer wedding in mind with this Save the Date design. The goal was to create a modern design with the main focus on typography. The text ‘SHE SAID YES’ is big and bold and allows your background photo to really be part of the typography design and pattern. The graphic backside adds a fun pop of color.”  See the entire She Said Yes Design Suite.
