Kristin and Thomas got their cotton candy, bubbles, rides and games on at their carnival-themed engagement session at the Virginia Beach Amusement Park. Photographed by Dustin Lewis Images how cute is this couple?! They’re bound and determined to have fun–no matter who’s watching. Looking for cute engagement ideas? Consider letting your hair down and the kid in you out–at your local carnival or county fair.
What’s so great about a carnival-themed engagement session?
- Color! No shortage there. And wearing something fairly neutral will allow all the background colors and neon signs add pizzazz to your play date.
- Great photo ops: Rides and games help bring out the kid in you–which can’t help but render beautifully in your captured expressions.
- Save the Date with a carnival theme: Popular designs like Love Aligned Save the Date Card, Geometric Spark Save the Date Postcard and Chic Lines Save the Date Magnet all have a carnival-feel that’s lighthearted and totally fun–perfect for an amusement park e-sesh.

Bohemian and gorgeous–Luke and Rosie had their unique and intimate Australian camping wedding–at Spicers Canopy–a nature refuge at Queenland’s Scenic Rim. WOW. Spicers Canopy sits in the heart of a 20,000 acre cattle station with stunning views at every direction. Under a rustic and flower-strewn arbor, Luke and Rosie said their “I Do’s” at their outdoor ceremony and followed it up with a beautiful candlelit reception in the rustic-romantic communal lodge. Guests stayed in safari-style eco tents. Absolutely picturesque! Enjoy this simple, lovely, back-to-nature wedding from Down Under from Oli Sansom.

Our sweet bride-to-be Kaylene flew all the way out to Yokosuka, Japan to see her fiance, Kyle, who is serving in the U.S. Navy. Kyle is stationed about 30 miles southwest of Tokyo–at the U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet so why not get their engagement photos taken while she’s out visiting! So, with the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop, they took romantic photos on the beach and on land as well as a few fun shots with Kyle in his Navy uniform. Enjoy this charming engagement session–so many miles away from home.
