I’d add Bob Carlisle’s “Butterfly Kisses” and Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” to the list.

Also, Mariah Carey’s “Hero” always makes me weepy. :)

We’re using “Daughter” by Loudon Wainwright. It’s nice and light hearted (and perfect for our relationship), because the last thing I want is for my dad to get teary-eyed. If that happens, I’ll become a puddle on the floor – and that’s not cute.

Great song choices! I really enjoy “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts–a modern ode to a father’s wish for his daughter. It’s beautiful and touching.

When I read your tweet I was thinking Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman! Then I get to your post and see it is the first one you mention! This song always brings tears to my eyes and it indeed was what I danced with my dad to. I even sang it to him as we danced. :)

I agree Melina- a tear jerker! SO beautiful.

Although those are all great songs my father and I will be dancing to I Loved Her First by Heartland.
