Beach Destination Wedding at Sandals Antigua

Categories Real Weddings

We’re taking a tropical respite from our freezing temps here in Minnesota {brrr!} with Matt and Chelsea’s colorful beach destination wedding. So gorgeous and vibrant, Chelsea and Matt had the sweetest destination wedding with just their closest family and friends–at Sandals resort on the West Indies island of Antigua. Ah… the views, the colors, the fun–all captured by Bartlett Pair Photography. Some of the details we are especially loving: the non-traditional ring box {alternative to the ring pillow}, Chelsea’s bold wedding bouquet of tropical flowers and of course, the fun island vibe with the most fabulous of sunsets!
Enjoy.

Behind the Design: Ocean Breeze

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Ever wonder where the inspiration behind a design comes from? Welcome to Behind the Design–a series devoted to giving you the deets around one of our newest designs. Today’s feature centers around a Design Suite that embodies all things beach and destination wedding. Here’s our designer Jen, to give us her inspiration behind this fun and cheerful beach wedding design suite entitled, Ocean Breeze.

Jen, Graphic Designer at MagnetStreet

“The inspiration behind Ocean Breeze comes from that relaxed feeling of being at the beach and of having the ocean breeze blowing on your face. Seated on white ceremony chairs, guests would witness their favorite couple exchange their vows against a beautiful sunset. While dreaming of being at the beach, I also pictured a happy couple who want to kick off their shoes (or flip-flops) and have fun. With all of that in mind, I wanted to keep a simple look to this design and so created it with a clean background, a playful seashell motif, and a fun script to accent the organic shape of the waves.”

Leave a comment… we’d love to hear your thoughts on beach wedding colors and our Ocean Breeze design suite!

Beach Engagement Session on Orcas Island

Categories Real Weddings

Let’s just call this beach engagement session from B. Jones Photography what it is: rustic, romantic and relaxing. A beautiful couple, a beautiful locale, oh, and a sweet pup, too! Saving the date for next August, Raquel and Carlos had their engagement photos taken at Rosario Resort and Spa on Orcas Island in East Sound, Washington. With stunning views of the San Juan Islands all around, and their pup by their side, Raquel and Carlos’ destination engagement photos are simply spectacular.

Enjoy.

Color Monday: Nautical Mist

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Hello Color Monday!

If you’re in need of a color palette that’s going to hoist your spirits, look no further. Today’s Nautical Mist inspiration is so cheery and bold and a sassy scheme for those wanting to wed on or near the water. Reminiscent of Pantone’s Dazzling Blue for this fall, this custom blue sails in perfect harmony with the classic white, ruby red and the glam gold. A little bit retro and a lot of fun!

Since the wedding invitation is the first real glimpse of the wedding style, we chose Nautical Feelings Layered Invitation design to anchor the palette and introduce the stripes and anchor motif. The end result: fun and vibrant. What do you think?
