How Would Two Twilight Stars “Save the Date”?

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Do teen gothic fairytales really come true?  That’s what many “Twihards” are wondering as rumors escalate that Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are engaged (gasp!).  Although they haven’t gone public about the engagement yet,  the duo has been spotted ring-shopping at the famed Neil Lane jeweler in West Hollywood (according to several gossip sources).

Stewart and Pattinson–who play lovebirds Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the vampire romance franchise–have remained fairly hush-hush about their four-year relationship, despite the very public and popular success of the Twilight series.

As life begins to imitate art, the time seemed ripe for another Celebrity Save the Date post! To celebrate the “real life” Bella and Edward, I decided to pick three Save the Date designs that echo the magic and mood of the Twilight series that brought these two stars together. These Save the Dates would be fitting for the young Hollywood couple–or for any couple having a Twilight wedding theme!

Classic Allure

This Victorian-inspired Save the Date oozes drama, darkness, and romance — all the classic elements of the Twilight series. The red and black echoes the color scheme present on all the book covers, and the lack of photo on this design would work well for the camera-shy couple.

Deep Rose

Featuring a dramatic red rose, this gothic-inspired Save the Date reminds me of the cover for New Moon. The second novel in the Twilight saga features a wilting red flower amid a dramatic black background. Unlike the book cover, however, this flower is not wilting–it’s in full bloom, which hints that Kristen and Robert’s relationship has blossomed into marriage.

Garden with a Twist

The lush, green meadow amid the forest plays a pivotal role in the relationship between Bella and Edward in the Twilight series. Since Robert and Kristen like to keep their relationship private, I could see them exchanging vows in a quiet, outdoor ceremony amid a grassy field of flowers. This Save the Date design is edgy, yet romantic–which seems to fit the pair pretty well.

So there are my three Save the Date picks for Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Which design do you think fits them best? Do you have another design in mind for them? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Miley Cyrus Engaged! Celebrity Save the Date

Categories Wedding Stationery

Attention, gossip lovers–Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are engaged! And if you follow us here at Truly Engaging, you know what this means: another Celebrity Save the Date post!

The former Hannah Montana star gushed about her new engagement on Twitter Wednesday: “Thank you for all the love today. I’m happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true.”

Sources say Hemsworth–star of The Hunger Games–proposed to Miley on May 31 with a 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring–handcrafted in 18-karat gold and custom-made by Neil Lane. “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” Cyrus, 19, told People magazine.

The young couple met in 2009 when they co-starred in the movie The Last Song and have been dating ever since (except for a brief break in 2010).

While skeptics wonder whether the young Hollywood couple will make it down the aisle, we like to think positively and wish them all the best!

With Miley’s Tennessee upbringing and Liam’s Aussie roots, I can’t help but wonder: what will Miley and Liam’s Save the Date look like?

Below are three Save the Date designs that we think the duo would love.

Bohemian Ikat Save the Date - MagnetStreet

Bohemian Ikat

With her Hannah Montana days behind her, Miley has retired her pink tees and glitter and now opts for vintage glam and indie, “boho-chic” threads . That’s why I think she’d love this ikat-inspired Save the Date design. I could see her personalizing this exotic textile design with some funky colors to match her new style.

Western Charm

Born and raised in Tennessee, Miley Cyrus is proud of her Southern background. Liam also enjoyed a quiet childhood on Philip Island, about two hours outside of Melbourne, Australia. I think Miley and Liam would really like this charming, country-inspired Save the Date. The shape of the text frame reminds me a cowboy buckle–a nice nod to their rustic roots.

Antique Rose Save the Date - MagnetStreet

Antique Rose

As stated above, Miley’s style keeps evolving as she grows up. This Antique Rose Save the Date would complement her “antique grunge” style while showing her transition into adulthood. A sophisticated design with vintage flair, this Save the Date would be a good choice for the starlet’s current style and growth!

So there they are–our top three picks for Miley and Liam’s Save the Date! What do you think: did we hit the mark? Do you have other design ideas? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

How Will “Brangelina” Save the Date?

Categories Inspiration

Happy Friday everyone!

Well, it’s finally happened…seven years and six kids later: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged! (As many of you are probably aware.) And although Jolie was first spotted with her ring on April 11th, rumors are fluttering that the two have been engaged for quite awhile. Custom-designed by Mr. Pitt himself, the engagement ring features a giant, sparkling diamond–weighing in at a colossal 16 carats.  Yowza!

So why now? Sources say that the couple’s clan of six kids (three biological, three adopted) have been the catalyst in their decision to finally tie the knot.

Brad and Angelina engaged

But let’s not focus on when or why they have decided to get married. Let’s focus on the future–and specifically: What will their Save the Date look like?

Yes, it’s time for another Celebrity Save the Date! Below I’ve selected three Save the Date designs that fit Brangelina’s style. Let me know what you think!

Seamless Charm

When it comes to fashion both on and off the red carpet, Angelina seems to favor that classic, all-black look. This design conveys that retro, black-and-white look that I’m sure she would love. The stripes give it a slightly modern edge, while the photo allows Brad and Angie to feature their favorite “editorial-style” family photo (taken by some famous photographer, of course).

 Sketched in Love

Since the power couple has six kids–and those children are rumored to have influenced their decision to marry–I could definitely see them using a multi-photo Save the Date like this one. Featuring a collage of four photos, this design would give them plenty of space to showcase all their beautiful children: Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne (whew!).

Timeless Style

The family of eight resides in New Orleans–a historic city that has personal meaning to them (especially Brad). If they get married in New Orleans, then this fleur-de-lis design would be a great way to complement their wedding city/theme.

Which is your favorite, or do you have another design in mind? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
