Winter Destination Wedding with Candlelit Ceremony

Categories Real Weddings

We have another intimate style winter destination wedding for you today–this time at the impressive Empire Canyon Lodge of Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. Elizabeth and Jordan had an exquisite evening wedding with a candlelit ceremony. Warm and romantic, their candle and flower-strewn aisle led to a rustic birch arbor in which to say “I Do”.  Elizabeth wore a raw silk, modified trumpet gown with a chapel train that featured hand-made flowers along the bottom edge. The guys were in black tuxedos and the ladies in floor length black gowns.

Such ambiance! From this beautiful place to the warm glows, hot toddy bar and a pup named “Bella”, we simply adore this elegant, romantic, destination wedding!  Enjoy…

Bound with a brooch, Elizabeth carried a beautiful bouquet of ivory peonies, ranunculus, anemone, antique champagne garden roses, and ivory parrot tulips while her gals carried smaller versions with bronze accents.

The bridal cake was a three-tier Italian Cream Cake that featured fanciful birds for their topper and trailing floral rosettes {similar to  the appliques on Elizabeth’s dress}. The groom’s cake mimicked Jordan’s love of: Reese’s peanut butter cups, Auburn {his alma mater} and his white pick-up truck and trademark cowboy boots. So fun!

Intimate Winter Wedding + Snowboarding Groomsmen

Categories Real Weddings

We have a gorgeous and intimate winter wedding for you today from Will Pursell Photography. Bryan and Megan said their “I Do’s” at a ski resort in the mountain escape that is Whistler, British Columbia. To kick off the day’s festivities and add to the excitement, Bryan and his merry groomsmen went snowboarding–good thing they’ve got skills! And Megan looked so beautiful in her lace, dropped waist mermaid gown while her bridesmaids looked lovely in silver. It was truly a magical day that even ended with a horse-drawn sleigh. So fun!

Enjoy.

Behind the Design: Mystical Spell

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

This rustic woodland wedding inspiration has a dark, ethereal beauty to it–much like Mystical Spell, the name of the Save the Date Card featured in today’s Behind the Design. This popular design features the trendy laurel leaf motif and a neutral color scheme of tan, black and white. Here’s Rachel to tell us more about this rustic woodland inspiration and photo Save the Date design.

“As I created this design I imagined myself to be up in the cool mountain air surrounded by mystical fog all around. This design will easily set the mood for an outdoorsy, but elegant wedding. With leaf illustrations surrounding your name and date and a speckled pattern in the background, it is easy to picture the scene being set for a rustic affair. The image itself has an organic shape which gives off a natural feel.”

What do you think of the trendy Mystical Spell Large Photo Save the Date Card?

Romantic Vintage California Wedding

Categories Real Weddings

Jessica and Joseph have known each other since they were kids. Jessica said, “Back in grade school I used to be close with his sister. One time I had slept over at her house for her birthday slumber party and woke up to find whipped cream on my face (my prize for falling asleep first). When I sprang up, turned around, and saw her cute older brother I didn’t say, “Nice to meet you, I’m your future.” Little did they know, that one day, all of the silliness would turn into something serious–that they would fall in love and be each other’s everything.

Jessica and Joseph wanted a simple, romantic vintage vibe for their wedding–one that wouldn’t break the bank! And through the help of Jessica’s mom, aunt, sister and of course, Pinterest, that’s exactly what they got. Thanks to Looking Glass Photography Studio, this romantic wedding has many lovely details to fall in love with–from the pre-ceremony gifts to each other to all the DIY vintage details. Enjoy.
