Color Monday: a modern-rustic color scheme of brown, ashwood and peach.

“Upscaled Rustic” is another wedding and stationery trend that is shedding new light on summer weddings. Some of what this trend comprises are romantic woodland settings, showy florals and elegant DIY touches. Additional trimmings for these rustic refined affairs include beautiful, ambient lighting and swanky outdoor seating. And to start setting the tone right away, we chose Floral Lace a Save the Date Card that echos a rustic modern wedding style. Are you a fan of this rustic elegant wedding trend?

Color Monday: A Sundry of Yellows

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

A cheerful color scheme of marigold, butter and gold.

Rooted in our spring wedding color trends report, “Kissed by the Sun” is a delightful inspiration board of warmth and opulence. Its sunny disposition shines with a modern look that’s clean, uncomplicated and crisp. Gold is still a popular wedding color and adding it here brings a touch of elegance to the overall palette. Heart cake topper sticks and groomsmen in argyle socks further add to the charm of our cheery mood board! So fun. And finally, setting the tone for this playful and approachable event is Making Waves, an invitation design that features a seaside motif and whimsical patterning.

Behind the Design of a Fall-themed Wedding Program

Rachel, graphic designer for MagnetStreet

Welcome to “Behind the Design” our blog series that showcases a new design, the designer, and the inspiration behind it. Here’s Rachel to tell us about Falling in Love, a rustic fall design that will leave you pining for an autumn wedding.

“I wanted to create a stationery suite that showcased the beautiful colors of fall, but in a very elegant way. Tell the world you fell in love! To be the focal point of the design, I chose a background photo that was rich in autumn colors. Through that, everything else seemed to fall into place! I imagined a beautiful outdoor wedding in the crisp fall air. The best part about this design is that you can swap out the background image to one of your own choosing. Do you have a favorite image in mind?”

From fashion to fixtures to décor–we love using patterns! They speak volumes about our personality and can be a really fun way to express the wedding style. We’ve been moving through our 2014 wedding and stationery trends and now it’s time to celebrate decorative patterns. A few on-trend wedding patterns for 2014 include ombre and tribal designs as well as the beloved classics: bold stripes, polka dots, and dainty damasks. Patterns are a terrific design element for bringing visual interest to your wedding and stationery look.

Like with today’s less than formal inspiration, you could mix it up with a variety of patterns. Let the guys pick out their ties, your maids wear their fave patterned frock, and a few across your stationery, too. Be sure to carry your patterns across your stationery items for a fun variation but consistent wedding look. What’s your favorite pattern?
