Modern-Vintage Florida Real Wedding

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

We’re so very excited to share Jeff and Christine’s dream wedding–a modern day romance filled with a mixture of vintage and playful details. Christine had these lovely things to say about their beautifully curated wedding, “I didn’t want our wedding to feel like a theme. Jeff and I dated for 10 years before we got married, so we wanted our wedding style to simply represent us and our love for each other. When it came to color we went with neutrals plus pops of color. My favorite details were the ones that had meaning behind them. My dad had passed away a few years ago, so I had a piece of his old work shirt sewn over my heart in my dress. Jeff is a huge marvel comics fan, so I made pinwheel flowers for him and his groomsmen out of marvel fabric that would become part of the boutonnieres. And our wedding venue was seriously great and unique–and old building converted into a modern art lounge.”

Bravo photographer Aaron Bornfleth for such a beautiful rendering of the day. Without further ado…

Wedding Day Highlights…
There were honestly so many … From hanging out with the girls all morning long, over looking St. Pete Beach, to reading the most amazing letter from my husband to be, our first look, an incredibly personal ceremony done by the most amazing officiant, to dancing the night away.

Best part of the whole wedding day…
Marrying my best friend and being able to celebrate with family and friends. Jeff and I live about 2 hours from our venue, which was the least amount of travel time for a few of our local friends. Everyone else either drove or flew across the country to spend the day with us. It seriously meant the world to us to be able to spend the day with these people.

About your dress…
I had the hardest time shopping for my dress here in Florida. I would find faults with everything. It was then I realized that it was my mom missing from the shopping experiences that I was actually missing. So on a trip up to Michigan I planed a few bridal appointments and that’s when we found my dress (Watters). I actually didn’t have the “this is the dress” feeling at first, but my mom did. I slept on the decision, and went back to try it on the next day (after revisiting a few favorites). Momma’s always know best, because I absolutely fell in love with it the next day.

Everything was perfect. We used the special design request with most of our items and absolutely loved this feature. It allowed us to make everything exactly how we wanted. The quality of the products (we ordered save the dates, invites, rsvp, thank you cards, and my mom ordered my shower invites too) was great, but my favorite part was the customer service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Elegant, Artsy Wedding at the Please Touch Museum

Categories Real Weddings

Lauren and Lance had a beautiful wedding at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, PA. But before pledging their forever love–these two Temple University sweetheart grads strolled through Rittenhouse Square to revisit a few of their favorite spots–including where Lance proposed to Lauren. Some of our favorite highlights include their playful nods to Temple’s black and red colors, this stunning and historic venue, their glam wedding cake and the lighting of the Japanese lanterns. Enjoy!

Cheerful Spring Wedding In Yellow and Gray

Categories Real Weddings

Julie and James’s had an outdoor spring wedding at The Borden House in Raleigh, NC. Captured by Amy Allen Photography, and with tulips and greenery all around, their outdoor wedding was full of sweet sophistication! We love the billy ball boutonnieres and that there was a lady groomsman and that all of the ladies wore yellow cardigans. We also love the simplicity of this southern wedding and how Julie carried the pretty lace details of her dress to their wedding cake. The fun everyone had is obvious–and the outdoor checkered dance floor seemed to beckon the wedding guests all night long! Enjoy!
