Happy Color Monday!

We’ve got a whimsical boho chic wedding style for you today. You can just hear the mandolin, guitar and tambourine playing as our sweet, free-spirited bride walks down a flower-strewn aisle to meet her groom. Do you love this earthy and eclectic style? A bohemian wedding has a handmade look and feel–trimmed in lots of greenery and over-sized blooms. Attire and décor is simple but charming while vintage touches complete the look.

What do you think of whimsical and woodland wedding style?

Color Monday: Downton Abbey Style

Categories Inspiration

Did you watch it? No, not The Bachelor … DOWNTON ABBEY?

Enjoy today’s Color Monday–an elegant tribute to the very stylish era that was the 1920′s. The rich color scheme is a proud testimony to the bold and vivacious attitude of the age. One iconic motif we didn’t elaborate too much on in this post, was Peacock feathers. For this inspiration, we took the liberty of personalizing Peacocks and Paisley–a Pocket Wedding Invitation design that celebrates this motif in a unique and ornate way. A versatile design, Peacocks and Paisley is ideal for an Art Deco wedding style but can be personalized in any color scheme. {Feel free to check out the original color scheme and the entire Design Suite.}

Color Monday: A Christmas Celebration

Categories Inspiration

Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season …

Of course we can’t leave you without a Color Monday right before Christmas that celebrates the holiday season. Here’s a fun non-traditional holiday wedding look. This wedding inspiration features a familiar textile and a classic pattern–plaid! Plaid has such a familiar, retro look to it that feels down-to-earth and laid back. Any couple that goes for plaid in their wedding look is bold, fun and confident! And it doesn’t get much cuter than a bride in a red cardigan.

Holiday Card featured below can be found in the From the Heart design suite.

Colorful Minneapolis Engagement Session

Categories Real Weddings

Today we’re featuring the engagement session of a rising young wedding photographer, Justine Diffee. Not only do we love Justine’s photographic style but we also love the passion she has for her new craft. Justine said, “There are two things that draw me toward photography more than anything else. One is creating memories. I want to freeze that moment in time so that couple can look back and remember how extremely in love they were at the time, and how excited they were at the prospect of getting married. The second thing is the artistic quality of photography. The sun is just one of the many tools around us to create amazing pictures. It’s so enjoyable to me to find natural ways to make pictures beautiful.”

Well, we love the sweet story that Justine tells with Jordan and Lexie’s Minneapolis, MN fall engagement photos. It is a veritable cornucopia of gorgeous fall colors, rugged textures and natural light. The setting is in and around the famous Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis–where Jordan proposed to Lexie. Enjoy.
