Today’s wedding inspiration celebrates a classic twist on a 17th century earthenware pattern: blue and white Delft. Gorgeous for a contemporary wedding, here’s designer, Jen, to tell us more about the inspiration behind her new design suite, Secret Garden.

“I took a classic, timeless design pattern and put a modern twist on it. Blue and white Delft has a sophisticated, feminine look–which makes it a fantastic look for weddings. Mixing fonts and florals furthered the delicate, vintage yet modern feel.”

Small Rose Garden Wedding with Mansion Reception

Categories Real Weddings

Dimitra and Chris met each other in college–while on a swimming scholarship. Dimitra is from South Africa but her family originates from Greece. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, their intimate and elegant wedding was held in the rose garden at Loose Park in Kansas City, MO. This sweet wedding reflected not only the immense love that Dimitra and Chris have for each other but for small beautiful details, too. Garden and park weddings are amazing summer venues. We simply adore the effusion of pink roses in the garden, Dimitra’s oversized bouquet, red accents, DIY photo box, as well as the elegant tablescape and artful wedding cake. Enjoy.

Behind the Design: Nautical-Inspired Beach Wedding

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

It’s smooth sailing for today’s “Behind the Design” and beach wedding inspiration. This seafaring board features a classic navy and white color scheme as well a Wedding Program with an anchor motif. Get your beach wedding ideas on with this salt of the earth look and nautical theme. Here’s graphic designer, Rachel, to tell us about Love’s Anchor, her new modern Design Suite.

“This design suite was inspired by a nautical summer wedding, so an anchor was a must! Maybe set on a beach, by the water or even inside an upscale club: a modern design for a modern couple. Bold stripes complement the simple anchor artwork and together make quite a statement. And, if you wanted to change up the palette, this design works really well with most colors. Go with a muted color and the entire look and feel will change completely!”

For today’s “Behind the Design” we’re breaking down She Said Yes, a unique photo Save the Date design that focus on a clever use of typography in tandem with a bold, graphic backside. And for those looking for blue wedding ideas, be inspired, there’s a lot of that in this mood board, too! Here’s graphic designer, Rachel to tell us a little about the inspiration behind her design.

“Bold patterns and bright colors. I had a fun and playful summer wedding in mind with this Save the Date design. The goal was to create a modern design with the main focus on typography. The text ‘SHE SAID YES’ is big and bold and allows your background photo to really be part of the typography design and pattern. The graphic backside adds a fun pop of color.”  See the entire She Said Yes Design Suite.
