Behind the Design: Mystical Spell

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

This rustic woodland wedding inspiration has a dark, ethereal beauty to it–much like Mystical Spell, the name of the Save the Date Card featured in today’s Behind the Design. This popular design features the trendy laurel leaf motif and a neutral color scheme of tan, black and white. Here’s Rachel to tell us more about this rustic woodland inspiration and photo Save the Date design.

“As I created this design I imagined myself to be up in the cool mountain air surrounded by mystical fog all around. This design will easily set the mood for an outdoorsy, but elegant wedding. With leaf illustrations surrounding your name and date and a speckled pattern in the background, it is easy to picture the scene being set for a rustic affair. The image itself has an organic shape which gives off a natural feel.”

Behind the Design of this Modern Save the Date

Categories Inspiration

Welcome to Behind the Design, a blog series devoted to the inspiration behind one of our newest designs.

Daydreaming of spring? Us too … it won’t be long now! Pink and navy blue is a fun combo for spring and summer weddings. Pretty and preppy, the pink is soft while the navy anchors the look. Super fun and trendy–we love the bold stripes, miniature bunting, and the big blooms in the bouquet. Here’s designer Rachel, to tell us about Modern Calendar, the Save the Date featured in this board.

“The Save the Date in this inspiration is called, Modern Calendar. It’s a design that features a unique calendar layout to share your wedding date with family and friends. The layout is fun and the right photo will help to complete the look. Personalize this design with your wedding colors, fonts and photo to really make it your own.”

From Photo Booth to Postcard, see how the Modern Calendar looks across all of the Save the Date sizes and shapes.

Elegant, Modern Military Wedding

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Welcome to Behind the Design–a Truly Engaging blog series devoted to the inspiration behind one of our newest designs. Here’s Jennifer to tell us about Forever United, a modern Military Wedding Invitation Suite that features playful text and bold, over-enhanced design elements.

“The inspiration behind this design is based off a formal {but fun} military wedding style. To signify dedicated service, I included subtle military-inspired elements. I really wanted this design to remain classic yet contemporary so that it could be paired with any other sort of feel throughout the rest of the wedding–whether the tone was formal, rustic or vintage. I used large, over-enhanced graphics and a simple san-serif font to keep the design as classic and simple as possible. I added some playful military wording on the invitation and enclosure cards to help carry the military theme and feel throughout the suite.”

How would you personalize this patriotic design?
