Behind the Design: Ocean Breeze

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Ever wonder where the inspiration behind a design comes from? Welcome to Behind the Design–a series devoted to giving you the deets around one of our newest designs. Today’s feature centers around a Design Suite that embodies all things beach and destination wedding. Here’s our designer Jen, to give us her inspiration behind this fun and cheerful beach wedding design suite entitled, Ocean Breeze.

Jen, Graphic Designer at MagnetStreet

“The inspiration behind Ocean Breeze comes from that relaxed feeling of being at the beach and of having the ocean breeze blowing on your face. Seated on white ceremony chairs, guests would witness their favorite couple exchange their vows against a beautiful sunset. While dreaming of being at the beach, I also pictured a happy couple who want to kick off their shoes (or flip-flops) and have fun. With all of that in mind, I wanted to keep a simple look to this design and so created it with a clean background, a playful seashell motif, and a fun script to accent the organic shape of the waves.”

Leave a comment… we’d love to hear your thoughts on beach wedding colors and our Ocean Breeze design suite!

Color Monday: Artsy and Modern

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Reminiscent of last Color Monday, today’s industrial-style wedding, features a modern couple with an artistic flair and a love of color. This soft shade of purple is a definite complement to the sleek, stable look and feel of charcoal grey. Harmonizing with the purple, is sunflower yellow on the wedding invitation. Doesn’t it add a nice pop of cheeriness to the whole palette? Be sure to check out this personalized version of Honeycomb Cluster … the sweet Wedding Invitation + Thank You Card design featured in this board.

What are your wedding colors?

Wine-themed Engagement Session

Categories Real Weddings

Because Channing and Jake are planning their wedding at a small winery in Northern California, they wanted to incorporate wine and nature into their engagement session. They chose Hidden Villa, a picturesque farm and wilderness preserve in Los Altos, California for their shoot. So, with wine in hand and amidst the beautiful olive trees, they had a fun, casual engagement session at the farm. Enjoy.

North Carolina Country E-Sesh

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

Oh, country engagement sessions, how we love thee. Let’s count the ways. Your abundance of pretty wildflowers, stretching skies, and tree-laden sweet spots simply melt our hearts away!

Terra and Daniel have known each other a long time–since childhood in fact. You see, Daniel is the brother of her best friend, Sarah. And even though Terra moved away when they were still young, she and Sarah remained best friends. And it was only natural that Terra was a bridesmaid in Sarah’s wedding. Terra was escorted down the aisle by Daniel and the rest, as we say, is history. Seven months later, Daniel proposed.

Awww, these two are just so adorable!

And if Terra and Daniel asked me this very second to choose a save the date for them, I’d have to go with An Autumn Affair Save the Date Magnet design for it’s sweet flair and large photo, lattice patterning, and gentle floral flourish on the bottom–so reminiscent of their country engagement session!

What do you think?
