Romantic Mountaintop Wedding With Teal Accents

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

There is so much pretty in Shahida and Cameron’s wedding–it’s hard to know where to begin. From the exquisite mountaintop location to the teal colored accents, we are in love with this Ojai, California wedding in the Los Padres National Forest of Ventura County. This stunning locale is actually the home of Cameron’s grandmother. So, treating their guests to panoramic views and overlooking Lake Casitas, they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and wedding reception. Shahida looked amazing in her lace beaded dress as did her maids in teal bridesmaid dresses. A few of our fave highlights include traditional elements from Shahida’s Indian heritage, their DIY ring holder {alternative to the ring box} and their cascading pastel blooms. And, of course, we love love their wedding favor boxes they personalized at MagnetStreet! Thanks so much to Joanne Leung Photography for sharing this lovely wedding and location with us. Enjoy!

Shahida DIY’d their ring holder from carving out a heart-shaped hole in the middle of a journal book. Such a clever keepsake!

Color Monday: Pretty Packaging!

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Pretty packaging–I fall for it every time! It’s not unusual for the patterned papers, the neat folds and the creative tying of bows to keep me more intrigued than the contents of the package. You too? But even if you and I don’t necessarily have the fine motor skills {or patience!} to make that perfect bow, we can still appreciate pretty packaging for the inspiration it provides for pondering wedding stationery colors.

So, with presents of mind, we bring you today’s Color Monday. We’ve personalized Romantic Ruche Wedding Program & Favor Tag in three different ways using pretty packaging as our inspiration! Enjoy.

Eggplant & Classic Gray

Gray {or metallic silver} is a timeless neutral color that grounds the palette with a sleek and modern feel. Combining with a majestic purple like eggplant lends a regal touch–perfect for a winter wedding.

Gold & Charcoal

A natural combination: gold and charcoal. This time, the overall feel is warm and inviting. Classy yet charming, there’s something very comfortable about this palette.

Orange Red & Classic Gray

Vibrant, high energy and full of good cheer–just like the holidays. Here, classic gray makes a wonderful backdrop for this spicy and adventurous color of red.

By the way, Wednesday we’ll be starting our 12 Days of Giveaways! Be sure to come back–you can enter every day until you win!

Happy Color Monday!

Justin and Erin’s Minnesota Wedding

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

Last November, we featured Erin and Justin’s pretty engagement session in the historic town of Stillwater, MN. And now it’s doubly exciting to see all of their hard work and planning culminated and captured in their wedding photos. And of course, we’re in love with how they carried their adorable Gerber Daisy and polka dot theme throughout their decor and stationery.

Justin and Erin’s was a classic wedding–full of tradition but with a fun, modern spin. Enjoy and read along as lovely Erin shares highlights, moments and advice from their big day!

The best advice that I got:
Just relax and go with the flow. If something were to go wrong that day, I just thought to myself, “who cares!” I was a very relaxed bride because of that.

Bunker Hills Golf Course wedding

Best part of the day:
I guess I would have to say when our Justice of the Peace presented us as Mr. and Mrs. Rolstad and we finally got to kiss. Hearing the crowd applaud and rejoice was so great. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.

Advice I would like to give:
The same advice that a lot of people told me–to relax and enjoy every second of the day. It goes by so fast that you shouldn’t waist any of your time worrying or obsessing over little things. All that matters is that your getting married to the love of your life.

Highlighted moments:
The father/daughter dance was very special. My Dad actually never told me what song we were going to dance to, he kept it a surprise all the way up to when we walked onto the dance floor that night. Turns out my Dad and Step Dad, R.T. worked together behind my back. R.T. went to the studio and recorded “Lady in Red” originally sung by Chris De Burgh. My Dad and I used to dance to that song in the living room of our old house that I grew up in. R.T. sang the words a little differently so it was “Daughter in White”. (Just to fill you in on a couple things: my Dad and Step Dad have a great relationship, and R.T. is a musician) So when the DJ announced that the song was “Lady in Red” and it would be sung by my Step Dad R.T. I automatically burst into tears. I cried on my Dad’s shoulder the entire dance. I even heard my dad sniffling.

Another highlight: the speeches
The speeches were amazing. Justin’s brother Chris (Best Man), my sister Liz(Matron of Honor), and my 2 older brothers who were groomsmen said such thoughtful things that brought constant tears to my eyes.

*Overall, our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we wish we could relive it over and over!*

Carrying their wedding theme

Erin and Justin took their polka dots, Gerber Daisy motif, and black, white and red color scheme of their Save the Date, and carried the same look and feel to their custom-designed stationery suite: Foldover Pocket  Invitations & Enclosures, Programs, Table Number Cards, Favor Boxes and Thank You Cards.

The result is vibrant, memorable and totally cohesive: beautiful job!

Our photographer Megan was great at catching unforgettable moments with her camera.

Our DJ Adam Welz, with Prime Time DJ was the best I’ve ever seen. He knew exactly what to do or say to keep our guests entertained the entire night.

MagnetStreet Weddings

Working with MagnetStreet was one of the best decisions we made with the whole wedding planning. It took so much stress off of me to get practically everything taken care. The quality of the products are better than any that I’ve seen, and very professional looking. I’m so lucky that I got to work with Mindi, she was so talented when it came to designing what I wanted.

I basically told the designer my color scheme and my love for polka dots, and she created exactly what I was imagining! I went with the Foldover pocket invitations because it looked so original and well organized. I went with the rectangle programs because I wanted them to be simple and classic. The favor boxes were my favorite! It was so nice not having to worry about making my own favors. All I had to do was get stuff to put inside of them, which I did black, white, and red M&M’s.

Congratulations Erin and Justin! Thank you for sharing both your engagement session and your wedding day with us! And I fess up to tearing up at your recounting of your father/daughter dance. So sweet! We wish you both all the blessings and happiness in the world.
