I am so flattered… Amy Jo Tatum, the super talent behind Bride Chic nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award this past weekend. It’s so fun and that it came from such a talent makes it that much sweeter. Thank You Amy Jo!

So, here are my 7 things…

1. I love growing plants. Not so much veggies and fruit {yay for farmer’s markets} but flowers and herbs. Especially culinary herbs. I love to make my own teas and spice up our dishes with the herbs I grow! Fresh rosemary on scrambled eggs… the best!

2. I’d like a pygmy goat. As a pet. Seriously. It’s on my bucket list.

3. If I wished for one material possession, it would be for a huge and beautiful conservatory in my home. It would be filled with tropical exotics like orchids and cocoa trees and 2 red cockatiels would fly about the trees freely. There would be a large goldfish pond, waterfall and an arched footbridge to walk across. An amazing place to relax and entertain.

4. OK, this one definitely falls into the embarrassing bucket. It’s not something I do every day, every week or even every month~ but when I need to get fired up and raise my energy level, I listen to the Jackson 5… really loud. And dance. I want you Back… ABC… Rockin Robin… you know~ the “Jackson Story” CD. And even though Apple didn’t take me up on my suggestion to be be a dancer for one of their iPod/iTunes commercials, I don’t hold it against them.

5. I love to wake up super early on Saturday mornings only to curl up next to my husband, coffee in hand and watch an Old Hollywood Glam movie or two on TV. Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant are my favorites.

6. As a kid, I used to sit for periods of time pushing my two front teeth back with my thumb because I thought they were a little “buck” and because my parents wouldn’t give me braces. Hot pink is my favorite color and I believe the world could be a better place with more pink it.

7. My family means the world to me! I will fight for them at any cost. I thank God for them every day and will go to the ends of the earth and beyond for them!

It’s common knowledge that getting the RSVPs back can be challenging. Well, maybe, just maybe… putting a little humor into your RSVP wording might help with the success rate!  Whatever the result… laughter is good medicine and who couldn’t use a little good medicine in their wedding planning. Right? Right.

Imagine how much fun personalizing your wording will be.  I’ve come up with a few of my own alternative RSVP versions to give you some ideas {below}.

This totally adorable personalized gift idea was found here via Little Birdie Secrets and originally meant as a DIY bridal shower gift idea.  But I think this talking pillowcase idea would be just hilarious and perfect as an anniversary gift or a birthday gift for your spouse too!  So stinkin cute!

The backside of the pillowcase would feature… well, the opposite mood statement!

The lettering can be embroidered or heat transferred or written with fabric markers {recommended tee juice markers}.  Check out your local craft store for what works best for you and the pillowcase fabric you’re putting it on!
