Color Monday: Inspiration for a Military Wedding

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Hello there Color Monday!

For today’s color wonderful, we’re balancing the beauty and formality of dress blues with the beauty and informality of a rustic look. This custom shade of green {yes, you can create custom colors in our online design tool!} is fresh, fun and softens the dark blue. Adding to this rustic and romantic feel is the outdoor setting, round wood cake stand, ribbon, burlap and lace. Bringing in the military stripes and the lacy look of the bride’s wedding dress is Romantic Ruche, the featured Wedding Invitation in this board. Lovely! A strong yet soft palette–perfect for a modern military wedding. Thoughts?

Behind the Design: Ritz & Romance

Categories Inspiration + Wedding Stationery

Happy Friday! Are you familiar with our Behind the Design? Behind the Design is our blog series that puts the spotlight on a new design, the MagnetStreet designer, and the inspiration behind it. Today is all about Ritz and Romance–a fun, bold design with an Art Deco feel. Here’s our designer Megan, to tell us how this design can be personalized into a modern wedding.

Megan, MagnetStreet Graphic Designer“I imagine a glamorous, black-tie affair with pops of rich color and a classy, European style reception venue. The ornate architectural details of the historic venue will also play a big part in bringing the look to life. I love how the timeless design elements and patterns work together with the fonts to create an Art Deco wedding feel on this design. A true, classic Art Deco design would feature black and gold, but color is a great way to add a personal touch and this design offers that. Ritz and Romance is perfectly suited for a glamorous soiree.”

Awesome. Thanks Megan!

The Great Gatsby look and feel is still so popular and it doesn’t appear that this classic look is going away. How about you? What do you think about this look and the Ritz and Romance design?

Behind the Design: Lace Country

Categories Inspiration

Welcome to Behind the Design. This recurring blog series puts the spotlight on a new design, the MagnetStreet graphic designer that created it, and the inspiration behind it. Here’s Rachel to tell us about one of her newest designs, Lace Country.

graphic designer at MagnetStreet“The inspiration for this design came easy and I could picture the details in my head. A very sweet, VERY country affair set in a rustic barn. All the charm and feel of a small town wedding comes out in this design. With a bit of texture to bring out the country side and the soft lace to balance and pull everything together, this is the perfect invitation for a romantic, summer wedding.

Where you may picture anything country as being a little rough, the delicate touches of lace soften the mood. Lace is such a popular trend this spring and summer in dresses, decorations and even cake designs. I would love to be a guest at such a sweet wedding as this!”
