Pretty Coral and Peach Winery Wedding

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

We’re simply smitten with Vanessa and Julian’s exquisite winery wedding … the colors, the ambiance, the rustic elegance! Vanessa said, “We wanted our wedding to be romantic, fun and to highlight the natural beauty of Napa Valley. We picked Napa because I wanted it to be gorgeous on its own and with good wine and good food–it’s the total package.” Complementing the rustic beauty of the winery and playing off of Vanessa’s favorite flower–coral peonies–theirs was a loose and flowing color palette. Vanessa looked absolutely stunning in her David Tutera {for Mon Cheri} gown and colorful Kate Spade royal blue flats. Her maids wore coral and peach dresses while Julian and the groomsmen wore gray tuxedos with navy ties. Enjoy this gorgeous Napa Valley winery wedding from Jonathan Young Weddings.

Highlights from the day …
Seeing my now husband as I walked down the aisle is something I’ll never forget. The Napa hills in the background and the gorgeous winery also took the romance to a new level. Then, getting to dance the night away with my friends and family was the icing on the cake. It was the best party I’ve ever been to!

Advice well taken …
To enjoy the day! There were inevitable bumps in the road throughout the day but all those things paled in comparison to the joy of having all my closest friends and family with me and getting to marry my best friend.

Advice to share …
Dream big! We considered many other options for the location of our wedding to better accommodate our guests. In the end, our dream wedding was in Napa, so we went with it and we are so glad we did. You only get one wedding; go for your dream.

The best part of the whole wedding day …
I’d say my two favorite moments were exchanging vows and celebrating on the dance floor all night long.

Reception décor
Decorated with a mix of clear vases and gold mason jars, the long rectangular reception tables popped with beauty and color–thanks to Vanessa’s mom who did the design and arrangement.

Colorful Fall Engagement Photos + Save the Date

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

We have a super lovely fall engagement session for you today! Bethany and Kevin {adorable!} live right here in Minnesota and opted for a rustic sesh at Long Lake Regional Park–a special location for these two. Long Lake Park sits right next to Irondale High School–the same school they graduated from and the same park they skied together at for Nordic cross country ski practices.*Sigh* Not only do Bethany and Kevin’s engagement photos feature great fall colors, woodsy textures and fun photo op ideas, they also have a laid-back sweetness to them that make you feel comfortable and eager to be a guest at their wedding. Thanks to Kjersti Mortenson of Mortenson Photography for capturing all this goodness. Enjoy!

Their proposal Story

Kevin purposed during a hike at Gooseberry Falls in Two Harbors, MN–the afternoon after I finished my first Grandmas Marathon. I’m a running enthusiast so, between running a marathon and getting engaged, it was an incredible and emotional day. Kevin is the first of three brothers to get engaged and I’m the baby of three girls–the last to get married. We enjoyed traveling home from the weekend race to share our exciting news with our families and friends.

They say that behind every photo is a brilliant photographer. In the case of Mortenson Photography, Kjersti Mortenson is a natural, talented and beautiful gal who has clearly found her calling in life! She made us feel comfortable and is very creative. I LOVE all of our engagement photos. Especially the candid shots she took when we had no idea she was capturing our precious moments. She will be photographing our wedding come October.

MagnetStreet Weddings

MagnetStreet customer service is exceptional! They were helpful and patient in answering the many questions I had. I loved having a template to start from and being able to make design changes online to create my dream invitations on my time. I had a certain vision in my head and the fact that I could play around with different fonts, colors and designs was convenient and allowed me to explore the many options available. Magnet Street went above and beyond with sending proofs, making minor adjustments such as spacing and size to make the final product perfect. I appreciated being contacted to make minor adjustments on the order that I didn’t catch when placing my order. Your work is wonderful, of excellent quality, and it came so quickly! I would recommend Magnet Street to all my family and friends.

About their Save the Date & Invitation Suite

We ordered the Forever & Ever for our save the date magnets, invitations- including wedding, shower, bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, thank you cards and wedding coordinating products. Classic Military Wedding with Teal Accents

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

We have a pretty military wedding with teal and silver accents for you today. Rochelly, our beautiful bride, looked amazing in her lace, off the shoulder grown while our groom, Omar, looked handsome and polished in his US Navy dress whites. Their lovely ceremony was held in a magnificent venue and concluded with an Arch of Swords ceremony that featured two members from each branch of the military. After the ceremony, the newlyweds spent a few hours at the University of Tampa taking portraits with their families and wedding party. They also managed to sneak in a few romantic shots with just the two of them! So much pretty–from ceremony grandeur to gorgeous florals and sweetly captured moments… Enjoy!

Best part of the whole wedding day
The best part was marrying the man of my dreams!! It was so magical. At the University of Tampa we said our vows to each other because we wanted it to be a private moment and it was simply amazing. That was the best part of the day.

Advice you wished you’d taken
Everyone I know that has gotten married told me the day would fly by and I believed it. They told me to take in every moment and not to stress! I wish I had stopped more often on my wedding day to take it all in. I was so occupied with making sure everything was perfect that sometimes I forgot to breathe.

Advice you’d like to give
On your wedding day … kiss each other, hold each other, and say sweet things to each other. This day is all about the two of you and nobody else. Everyone else is there to enjoy and share in your happiness but at the end of the day it is all about you.

Also, no matter how expensive your wedding is, go on a honeymoon! Even if it is two towns over in a motel, make sure you get away! Our honeymoon was the best week ever and we had no worries about anything until we got back. It was the best!

Advice you’re glad you took
Our florist was incredible and was sort of like a wedding planner. We only met with her twice before the wedding but she reminded us of so many little details that hadn’t thought of like asking for a cake stand, having all of our accessories ready, how to decorate the sweetheart table, etc…

Richard Harrell Photography
Richard Harrell was amazing! He did our engagement shoot as well and instantly made us feel comfortable. He was so creative and wanted to do more. He is totally worth every penny. Our wedding photos are phenomenal.

Publix Supermarkets
We got our cake from Publix Supermarkets and it was out of this world amazing. It was seriously the most beautiful cake I have ever seen and it tasted AMAZING. Everyone loved it. Their customer service is amazing as well and I wouldn’t recommend any one else for wedding cakes.

Arlene Floral Design
Arlene Floral Design was a blessing on our wedding day. The church, cocktail hour, and reception hall looked like they were out of a magazine. Arlene went above and beyond to provide us with the best service possible. All the flowers were fresh and so beautiful and all of the details were perfect. She did a ceiling draping in our reception hall making it look like out of a movie. She is the best!

Cinemedia
Steve from Cinemedia was our videographer and he is out of the Orlando area. I haven’t received my video yet but I know it will be amazing. He was awesome to work with.

Alegria’s Brides {wedding gown}
It was amazing. I felt like a princess!  It was an A-line dress with extra poof at the bottom that gave it a princess look and all lace. It was off the shoulder so it had a little sexy in it as well but so elegant and classic.

MagnetStreet Weddings
I loved it! I love that I could pick a design that I liked and I was able to personalize it to fit mine and my husband’s personalities and style. Their customer service was awesome! I was able to ask questions and make adjustments without a problem. The price was very affordable for such good quality. That is why we got our thank you cards from them too. Everything was so beautiful and the process was so easy.

Full Photo Save the Date design
For the save the dates we knew we wanted to only do one picture that we really liked. We wanted a very clean look that emphasized us and our style–which is why we went with that particular design. We were able to change the font and color to make it more us and it was perfect.

Life of Luxury Thank You Card design
The same goes for the thank you cards. We wanted one particular picture on it so we browsed for designs with one picture and then customized it to fit our style. What I love about Magnetstreet is that they have so many different options and designs and make it so easy for you to fit your style!

Romantic Mountaintop Wedding With Teal Accents

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

There is so much pretty in Shahida and Cameron’s wedding–it’s hard to know where to begin. From the exquisite mountaintop location to the teal colored accents, we are in love with this Ojai, California wedding in the Los Padres National Forest of Ventura County. This stunning locale is actually the home of Cameron’s grandmother. So, treating their guests to panoramic views and overlooking Lake Casitas, they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and wedding reception. Shahida looked amazing in her lace beaded dress as did her maids in teal bridesmaid dresses. A few of our fave highlights include traditional elements from Shahida’s Indian heritage, their DIY ring holder {alternative to the ring box} and their cascading pastel blooms. And, of course, we love love their wedding favor boxes they personalized at MagnetStreet! Thanks so much to Joanne Leung Photography for sharing this lovely wedding and location with us. Enjoy!
