A Pennsylvania Fall Wedding

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

Jesse and Krystal’s gorgeous fall wedding in Pennsylvania is sated with elegance. From their warm and gentle color scheme of champagne, gold and ivory, to the decor and personal touches, every detail is pure eye candy. Looking amazing … Krystal wore a Sottero and Midgley’s Gracie gown. For a stylish and seasonal look for the outdoor shots, the bridesmaids wore pale pink cardigans while Krystal wore a matching sequined cardigan.

For their invitation suite, Jesse and Krystal chose the Royal Emblem design–personalized in their wedding colors. Simply gorgeous–from the program and menu card, to the pocket invite and inserts, to all the vellum and labels. Enjoy as our beautiful brides shares highlights, advice and wedding day details!

Elegant Details …

The church was timeless with stone walls, high painted ceilings, and columns that we adorned with a lot of flowers for the ceremony, a happily ever after sign and a monogrammed pumpkin for fall flair. The Programs were handed out in a basket marked with the couple’s new last name. Guests were welcomed into the ballroom with tall orchid center pieces, menus held by four corks tied with gold ribbon, chap stick favors which read “Happily Ever After Starts Here” and adorned with gold and ivory berries. The head table was lined with votives wrapped in gold ribbon as well as: miniature vases with hydrangeas and roses (and later the wedding parties bouquets), candelabras and draping flower arrangements at each end, gold charger plates, and a back drop {hand made by the bride} of fabric frill flower.

Advice I’d like to give:

Think about your guests and make the wedding a fun and enjoyable evening  for them. We wanted our guests to experience a wedding that was beautiful and classy but we also wanted our guests to be comfortable and happy. We tried our best to make travels and accommodations convenient and the atmosphere fun for our guests all while having the wedding that fit our style and personalities.

Also, I am glad we put a lot of time and thought into all of our wedding stationery. It was truly exciting to send out the invites and then get sincere complements from everyone! Everyone was really impressed.

Vendor Shout Outs

hotmetalstudio.com

Since a co-worker had used hot metal studios to photograph her wedding, when Jesse and I were only dating, we both enjoyed looking at their blog. Their pictures are so fresh, creative, and effortless. After we booked our church and reception venue, the first vendor we called was Hot Metal Studio. Jonathan and Tiff are both super sweet people and amazing photographersVisit hot metal studio to see more of Krystal and Jesse’s wedding photos.

Pictory Productions

Our videographer, Megan Bowers was perfect! I had so much trouble finding the perfect videographer for us. While calling around, one local videographer, whose services were not the product we were hoping for, gave me the name a young videographer just starting her business in the area. I was beyond excited when I found Megan’s website. I was so in love with her videos! She makes upbeat 5 minute films that highlight the day set to music. She is so interested in her clients and always asked us what we wanted every step of the way. I’ve not seen any wedding videos like hers and I could not be happier that I have that memory forever. Watch Krystal and Jesse’s wedding video here. You should. It’s super cute!

MagnetStreet Weddings

We really liked the Royal Emblem Pocket Invitation online. I loved that you could request a sample of a particular style you like and then also able to get a color that we liked too. We got the samples in the mail and fell in love. The samples got us and we ordered all of the little extras that came with our invitation. The invitations really set the tone for our wedding and went with our vision of our wedding day. They were classy and elegant, with simple colors, but a lot of style.

We also put stickers with our engagement pictures on all of our seating cards and round emblem stickers were placed on all of our to go cookie boxes from our cookie table. After our wedding we got gorgeous thank you’s. It was easy to design the stationery on your website and Customer Care was awesome! We were so happy with MagnetStreet because of the ability to literally customize everything.

Sarah & Nathan’s Classy & Simple Wedding

Categories Real Weddings + Wedding Stationery

We adore the sweet simplicity of Sarah and Nathan’s country wedding. The easy-going, pastoral feeling of this Iowa setting is perfectly balanced by their vibrant color scheme of royal blue and silver. The blue is simply electric! Sarah looks enchanting and her beautiful smile tells us that their day was one filled with love and happiness!

Enjoy.

Highlights of the day
Seeing friends and family that I hadn’t seen for awhile! People traveled in from across the country, so we felt very blessed to have our loved ones celebrate with us. Also, coming down the aisle and seeing my groom. The food was also fantastic! I’m so glad we had a chocolate fondue fountain. My brother also put together a fantastic slideshow. After all of the hard work and planning, it was wonderful to see how everything came together.

Postcard Save the Date

Sarah and Nathan customized their own Save the Date Postcard using two fun shots from their engagement photos.

Advice you’re glad you took
We were advised to go with gray suits rather than tuxes so that the guys could keep them. We are so glad we did! They looked great, and each guy loved them! Also, everyone I talked to stressed the importance of delegating tasks and responsibilities so that you can just enjoy your day. That is so important! We got a lot of friends and family involved, which helped a lot. I’m also glad we dismissed guests by row so that we got to greet everyone at least once.

Advice you wished you took
We DIY’d a lot of items. We rolled the silverware, made cake pops for our guests as favors, our guestbook, decor. While that was fun, some of it was stressful at the end. I probably would have bought some of these items instead–just to save time and energy. I would have allowed more time for my nail and hair appointment as well!

Advice you’d like to give
It’s your wedding day, enjoy it! It’s the day you’ve always dreamed of, so really make it uniquely yours.  Plan early, give yourself plenty of time and details really do matter. It’s easy to stress about the “big day” but try to enjoy the process and the loved ones that help you along the way. Have fun!

Best part of the whole wedding day
Getting married! Seriously, people say if you are married at the end of the day, it was a successful wedding! For me, we had worked so hard planning everything for eight months, it was wonderful to see how it all came together. I loved just enjoying the ceremony and reception with those I love.

Wedding Invitation & Ceremony Program

Sarah and Nathan chose the fun and Flirty Flourish Tea-length Wedding Program and Rectangle Wedding Invitation Suite to set the tone for their big day and match their wedding style. Bravo!

I loved the templates available for our Save the Dates, Invitations and Programs. Our graphic designer friend, Lisa helped design our Save the Dates, but I used the Flirty Flourish templates for both our invites & programs.  I found the personalization tools very easy to use and there were a variety of styles/templates to choose from! Ordering and proofing was very simple and my order arrived within days. I definitely recommend using MagnetStreet for your wedding or event!

Thank you Sarah and Nathan for sharing your day with all of us! We love how you involved so many of your family and friends and DIY’d so many elements to make your special day–that much more special. Blessings to you both!

3 factors in deciding on a Wedding Program type:
