Delicate butterflies … lighthearted and fanciful. Butterflies are found in many cultures–symbolizing transformation, new life and lightheartedness. American Indian lore says that if you catch a butterfly, whisper your wish to it and set it free–your wish will be taken straight to the heavens. So gentle and ethereal–it’s hard not to fall in love with the fancifulness of butterflies and these butterfly save the date designs!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
Today, we’re putting Poppy Dots on the design pedestal. Radiating with good energy, Poppy Dots is one of our newer designs that would be perfect for a spring, summer, or beach destination wedding! We’re showcasing its sweetness on a flat rectangle wedding invitation {+ accessory items} and here to explain the “Behind the Design” is its curator … Jen, graphic designer.

The inspiration behind this design came directly from the popular poppy flower trend. I’ve been seeing them everywhere from bouquets and centerpieces to headbands and pins. The bright yellow color is so cheery and warm that I thought an invite needed to be created that reflected the same mood.

Poppy Dots Flat Rectangle Wedding Invitation
On the coordinating pieces of the invitation package, I included a simple dot pattern to pair with the poppies. So, if a bride wanted to change the yellow to something more dramatic, the invite would still keep the soft, romantic feel I was intending.

See how Poppy Dots looks on each wedding invitation type or … check out the entire line!
What do you think of this easily-personalized design that brings in the sunshine and blends the trends?
