Lake Tahoe Engagement Session

Categories Real Weddings

One exciting wedding stationery trends we’re seeing couples gravitate to these days–is using one large photo with a bold text overlay on their save the date. It really has a fun look and feel to it.That said, we love love the engagement photos from this Lake Tahoe engagement session. And they’re perfect for said trend!

Jenny and James love the mountains and chose Lake Tahoe for their destination wedding. Can you blame them? So gorgeous, peaceful, and private! Events, Ink did an incredible job of not only capturing the majesty of the surroundings, but also of capturing the essence of Jenny and James. Fun. romantic. Spontaneous. Enjoy.

Chicago Engagement Shoot on Lake Michigan

Categories Real Weddings

Hello gorgeous! Yes, I’m talking to you, engagement session. I love your Chicago skyline, Lake Michigan, and the way Julie and Travis are so artfully silhouetted against the expansive blue sky and water. You’re beautiful and impressive and you know it! And, here something else that’s impressive–how intentional photographer Tuan H. Bui, Photographer was in getting to know Julie and Travis’ style and interests before this stunning shoot.

Tuan said, “During my first phone call with Travis, I tried to get a sense of his relationship with Julie in preparation for the shoot. I asked the obvious questions … dutifully took notes. I also spoke to Julie and learned her history of sailing tall ships which also influenced my choices of location for the shoot. When I was in their Bucktown loft, I took in the minimal, sleek, modern decor, and decided that the photos had to match: clean compositions, simple lines, bold subjects. Travis had said that Julie might be nervous in front of the camera, but she was wonderfully happy and bubbly when talking to Travis, so I decided that most of the shots would involve the couple facing each other, talking or interacting.”

One of their bookshelves is full of Lonely Planets from 10 different countries. On top of that shelf is a plastic float that has “Will you marry me Julie?” on it. The travel books are a legacy of this couple’s love of adventuring to different places.

Traditional Military New Orleans Wedding

Categories Real Weddings

This elegant wedding comes to us from Mark Eric Weddings. From the ornate church, luxurious hotel and amazing florals, to the sweet sentiments of this military couple. Corey and Melissa knew each other in high school but were always just friends. That all changed the Christmas of 2009. Enjoy

From our beautiful bride, Melissa, “Corey was on vacation from the military and I was on Christmas vacation from The University of Alabama. We ran into each other at a friend’s graduation/Christmas party… and it was love ever since! I went to visit him a few times in San Diego and he visited me in college. He moved to Virginia Beach where I continued to visit him as often as possible. We finally got engaged October 9, 2011 when he was on leave from deployment in Afghanistan! Corey is a Navy Seal.

Something Meaningful. Something Blue.
My favorite memory was seeing a piece of the scrubs my dad wore when I was born sewed into my dress. It was so meaningful as my dad passed away from Lewy-Body Dementia in September 2010.

Bridal Attire
Melissa wore the Katarina dress by Winnie Couture,Jimmy Choo shoes and the necklace she wears everyday: the Navy SEAL Trident that Corey gave her before his first deployment.

Memorable Moments
We had amazing food! Non-stop dancing! My best friends dad gave the sweetest toast. My husband said a wildly inappropriate comment on stage, in the microphone! It was actually hilarious!

And what a gorgeous location Crystal Cove is–from the beachfront cliffs and coves to the field of wild flowers. Rustic and romantic … kudos to AlliChelle Photography for bringing us all this natural light and beachy goodness! Enjoy.
