Wedding Invitation Envelopes

About Wedding Envelopes

Based on your formality and personal taste, decide on how many envelopes to include with your wedding invitation suite. At MagnetStreet Weddings, we call the envelope that is included with each invitation a Mailing Envelope {available for each size and type: Pocket, Flat, Folded}. Potentially, you may have up to three envelopes with your invitation suite:

  • Outer {Double Envelope}
  • Inner {Mailing Envelope}
  • RSVP Envelope

Tips

Embellish your envelope with a envelope liner that coordinates with your invitation suite.

Single Envelope      {mailing envelope}

Using a single envelope is a popular and less formal option in which to send your invitation. Address your single envelope like you would the outer envelope on a double set.

Double Envelope Set      {inner + outer}

Using a double envelope is a more formal option. The inner envelope holds the invitation, is specifically addressed and left unsealed. The outer envelope is stamped, sealed and formally addresses your guest.

In a traditional double envelope set: the inner envelope is embellished with the liner, holds the invitation suite, and is specifically addressed with first names. The outer envelope has the stamp and is addressed.
