MagnetStreet is a diverse ecommerce brand that sells personalized magnets, cards, and stationery to both businesses and consumers. The main function of this position is to execute and uphold MagnetStreet’s technical standards of product design templates. The Product Template Specialist position is a liaison position moving between created product designs and online product templates. The product template specialist ensures proper functionality in Design Studio, our personalization tool in our online store, at MagnetStreet.com.

This position is fast-moving, production-based, and the ideal candidate will be able to meet daily expectations of accuracy and volume. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and located in our Blaine, MN office. Office hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday.

    Job Responsibilities
  • Use InDesign to review new product designs
  • Review and fix templates for quality assurance and technical standards, as well as problem-solving for best online customer experience
  • Convert product templates to our graphic and technical standards
  • Give designers constructive feedback to ensure online product functionality
  • Send test prints to the plant as well as review prints for errors
  • Organize and maintain clean product templates for use by graphic design team
  • Create, update, and run product scripts in batches as well as on the template server
  • Develop and maintain manuals and job aids for product development team
  • Create and maintain tracking system for template issues
  • Design new product templates as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
    Education/Skills needed:
  • Must be proficient and demonstrate expert knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (CS5 and Cloud preferred) - PC based
  • Show the initiative and skillset to quickly learn company’s auditing processes in a hands-on training environment
  • Adept at multitasking and quick problem solving while turning projects around quickly
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail
  • Keen eye for visually-pleasing layout and design
  • Able to both work independently and collaborate with team
  • Proactive self-starter who is resilient to changing processes
  • Professional working relationship with coworkers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written; speak and write proficiently in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent related field preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience using design programs

Our Customer Care Designer assesses customer needs, creates solutions, and resolves concerns with the goal of exceeding each customer’s expectations. This team member must have a strong graphics ability to complete requested design changes, as well as provide exceptional verbal and written communication to our customers. Our customers include: brides or grooms-to-be, parents-to-be, realtors, business professionals, resellers, and school administrators, among many other groups. This position is fast-moving, and the ideal candidate will be able to meet daily expectations of accuracy and volume. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and located in our Blaine, MN office. Office hours are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday.

    Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate with customers by answering phones, emails, or chats; and follow prioritization of handling customer volume given by manager or team lead.
  • Manage orders by reviewing each customer’s order proofs, processing the customer’s noted revisions, following up with the customer as needed, and moving their order to the next status.
  • Utilize software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to ensure items ordered meet both our customers’ expectations and internal print specifications.
  • Work with the Sales team to create and design custom products for customers using provided assets.
  • Work in a professional manner with internal departments to fulfill customers’ needs.
  • Acquire product and process knowledge to effectively answer specific questions about orders, proofs, and/or file requirements accurately.
  • De-escalate customers at point-of-contact and respond to their needs while keeping policies and procedures in line with requests.
  • Educate customers on order process, timelines, and design requirements.
  • Follow assigned orders from creation to completion while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned
    Education/Skills needed:
  • At least one year Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment; prior Call Center experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to control every call, problem solve, and handle customer complaints by working toward a viable solution that meets the customer needs while falling within company guidelines. Escalate only when all options have been exhausted.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of InDesign Creative Suite (CS5) and digital photography or electronic graphic files.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel) and Outlook for communication within MagnetStreet and with our customers.
  • Professional, positive, and patient customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written; speak and write proficiently in English
  • Knowledge and use of the internet web sites, various internet browsers, and e-commerce shopping.
  • Excellent decision-making skills; ability to prioritize and follow-up with customers to resolve all daily tasks with a positive demeanor.
  • Friendly team player; cooperate with individuals within and outside of the company.
  • Able to both work independently; Proactive self-starter who is resilient to changing processes
  • Attention to detail and organized; be able to complete a variety of tasks within deadlines.
  • Excellent decision-making skills; ability to prioritize and follow-up with customers to resolve all daily tasks with a positive demeanor.
  • AA or BA/BS degree in Graphics Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent related field preferred or equivalent 1-3 years of experience.
