Pleasure Pier + Alleyway Engagement Photos

Mar 26 2013

Tammy and Christopher love the eras of the 40s and 50s and listening to Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald … With their interests in mind, they had planned a vintage photo-shoot in an old movie theater. For various reasons, that plan fell through and they ended up having to shoot from the hip {so to speak}. Well, it turned out great! Anthony Dinh of Composure Studios took them to Galveston, Texas–to a texture-laden alleyway and to the Pleasure Pier–a small carnival-style theme park. They couldn’t look more fabulous–Tammy in her little red dress and Christopher in his bow tie and vest. They still got the vintage vibe they were looking for, plus had a whole-lotta fun to boot!

And of course, we love the photo they chose for their Save the Date = adorable!

Tammy and Christopher personalized Vintage Banner Save the Date Postcard {standard size} to showcase their vintage vibe and their wedding colors. Tammy said, “We loved the design because we thought it went perfect with the picture that we wanted to use. Since our pictures have a vintage flair, the design complemented it well.”

Pro Shout Out

Anthony is AMAZING!!! We chose him because we hit it off from the beginning. We explained what we wanted for our engagement session and  he got us right away. He is such a true professional with great ideas. He is definitely heaven-sent! He is so easy to work with and he made it fun–which we think shows in our pictures.

  1. I…love…this. A modern shoot, modern photography angles, but with a classic vintage look to their style. I want her red dress SO bad! And as much as I love the first pictures, my favorite are the more candid shots at the end with them at the carnival. Their happiness really shines through in their smiles and laughter. You can tell they work well as a team, and seem genuinely happy together.
